
Scott McConchie
Scott began his career at the Boston law firm of Choate Hall & Stewart, where he was a member of that firm’s litigation and employment law departments. Scott received his BA, magna cum laude, from Duke University in 1990, and his JD, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1996.
Scott has substantial commercial litigation experience, and regularly appears in state and federal court. He represents large corporations and financial institutions, small businesses, and individuals in a variety of matters. Recent representative engagements include representing a hospital in a dispute over royalties due under a “most favored nations” clause in a patent license agreement, defending an engineering firm in a wrongful death case, representing a newspaper in an employment agreement dispute, representing a life insurer in a number of coverage cases, and representing a bank and brokerage house against fraud allegations. Scott also has experience in bar disciplinary proceedings, and is regularly engaged by national law firms seeking local counsel in Massachusetts.
